There are numerous walks that can be done straight from Nethy Bridge without the use of transport. We have a local ranger, seasonal and part-time in the Explore Abernethy Centre who can give you ideas.
If you do have transport then you can go further afield. One of our clients' favourite walks is Mealle a Bhuachaille; a 3-4 hour hike up a hill that takes you to the summit with a 360 degree view over Cairngorm, Loch Morlich and even down to Nethy Bridge. Or, you can have a look at this walking site Aviemore and the Cairngorms walks takes you to Walk Highlands, an online walkers' guide covering all types of walks from easy family rambles, through tougher, day-long, hikes to challenging mountain ascents.

There are a number of excellent maps and booklets available to take with you whilst walking and these two are not advertised links but ones that we find useful ourselves! Living Walks is a great wee book to fit into your pocket and is a souvenir to take home too. I find that we also use Walk Highlands which has some fantastic information its site. If you want to go North East then here are some paths around Glenlivet
